Note:
Hard resetting the device will cause the device to be reset back to its original factory default settings and all data and installed programs will be lost. Disconnect the unit from AC power. Use your stylus when it states below, “Press the Reset Button”.

Hold down the today and the mail buttons. Simultaneously press the reset button.

Hold down the HOME and the IN BOX buttons. Simultaneously press the reset button for about 2 seconds.

Press and hold the power button while you press the reset button for about 6 seconds. Release both buttons and you will see a confirmation screen asking you if you would like to clear all data in memory. Then press the Contacts button. To cancel, press the Mail button.

After pressing the reset button with the stylus you must CONTINUE TO HOLD the Comm Manager and Voice Command buttons until you see a message asking you to press the send button (the green phone) to perform a hard reset. Following this, wait patiently and the K-JAM should eventually boot into Windows Mobile.

On the back of the unit, slide the battery switch to OFF. After about 1 minute, slide the battery switch back to the ON position. The unit will restart with the default settings.

Device should be off. Slide the grey latch on the right hand side of the unit to open the battery compartment. Slide the short grey switch above the battery bay to the OFF position and remove the battery. After a brief few seconds, insert the battery. Then slide the short grey switch above the battery bay to the ON position. Now, replace the cover and slide the grey latch back to the lock position. Turn unit ON.

Press the two soft keys together then press the reset button on the side of the unit. A confirmation screen should appear that reads, "Press 0 to reset to factory defaults or X to exit." Press ZERO to confirm the factory reset.

Slide off the battery cover from the Pocket PC. At the same time press and hold the End Call button and press the tip of the stylus pen into the soft reset opening. Release the end button as soon as a list of possible options is displayed on the screen. Select Skip if you would like to perform a normal cold start. To restore the Pocket PC to the factory defaults select Factory Defaults.

To perform a hard reset

Step One:
Preform power down *Hold the power button* Till the phone is 100% powered down and all you see is a black screen
*keep in mind if your device is plugged into a power source or computer link this will not work!*
Step Two:
(Use both hands while doing this it will be much easier!)
Place 1 finger on each of the Soft keys.
Step Three:
Press the power Button and hold for no more than 2 sec well holding the two soft keys (do not hold the power button till the phone turns on) ONLY PRESS THE POWER BUTTON DO NOT TURN THE PHONE ON. After pressing the power key keep your fingers on the Two Soft keys until you see a the phone turn on and a black screen come up with white writing. Once you see this screen Press the Green Send key and there you go you have just performed a hard reset on the T-Mobile dash without using the settings screen on the phone.
